Special Event: Nadir Sarıbacak in Attendance
The screening will be followed by a live Q&A with co-director and lead actor Nadir Sarıbacak, moderated by Daniel Kothenschulte.

The conversation will explore the personal story behind the film, the psychological impact of displacement, and the experience of rebuilding a life in a new country. It will open up a broader discussion around identity, belonging, and the realities of migration.

Daniel Kothenschulte is a German film and art critic, author and curator who started writing film reviews as a teenager. Since 2001 he has led the film section of the national daily Frankfurter Rundschau, and he has not missed a single edition of Cannes, Venice or Berlin. He has taught film at the Städelschule in Frankfurt and the Academy of Applied Arts in Dortmund, written books on Robert Redford, Fritz Lang's Metropolis and Hollywood in the 1930s, and edits a series of archival books for Taschen, including The Walt Disney Film Archives. As a curator he founded Videonale Scope, a Cologne festival of avant-garde film, and has worked on museum exhibitions including The Art of Pop Video. A lover of silent cinema, he regularly performs improvised piano scores at the German Film Museum and at festivals.

The conversation will be held in English.
