Special Event: Nadir Sarıbacak in Attendance
The screening will be followed by a live Q&A with co-director and lead actor Nadir Sarıbacak, moderated by Margrit Frölich.

The conversation will explore the personal story behind the film, the psychological impact of displacement, and the experience of rebuilding a life in a new country. It will open up a broader discussion around identity, belonging, and the realities of migration.

Margrit Frölich is Director of Studies at the Protestant Academy Frankfurt, where her work centers on film, transatlantic dialogue and economics. She organizes film discussions and moderates panels on cinema and on a broad spectrum of subjects in culture and politics, writes regularly for the film magazine epd film, and has published widely on cinema. From 2012 to 2017 she was DAAD Professor of History, Culture and Media at the University of California, San Diego, and she teaches at the Kassel International Summer University. In October she will sit on the Ecumenical Jury at the Warsaw International Film Festival.

The conversation will be held in English.
